Student-Athletes pledge NIL Earnings to Tornado Relief Effort

Updated: May 30, 2022

Atlanta, GA - On December 11, 2021, at least 24 tornadoes ripped across six states in the dark of night, impacting people in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee.

In this new era of Name Image and Likeness (NIL), several Student-Athletes have teamed up with Atlanta-based Fans Meet Idols and unselfishly pledged the earnings generated through their storefronts to the American Red Cross Tornado Relief Effort. Fans Meet Idols has also pledged 100% of it's earnings on those transactions as well. The campaign runs through December 31, 2021.

"We messaged our Idols asking if anyone would like to participate and began receiving replies within minutes saying, I'm in!", said Fans Meet Idols Founder, Steve Kennedy. "We're also in the middle of gift-giving season so there is already a strong demand for what these Idols are offering through their storefronts, especially for shoppers looking for last minute gift ideas."

Currently, 27 Student-Athletes from 14 Schools in 12 different states and 1 NFL Player are participating and the list continues to grow daily.
